Is time money?

I have always been taught in business that ‘time is money’… but is it really?

Example:

A contractor is hired to do a job….

Contractor 1: works at a slow pace, takes them 8 hrs & charges say $100p/h. Total= $800

Contractor 2: works at an average pace, takes them 6hrs & charges say $110 p/h. Total= $660

Contractor 3: works quickly, takes them 3hrs & charges say $150p/h. Total= $450

So in effect, time isn’t money to the better contractor, unless they quote for time not used… which is fraudulent.

So do you:
1. take your time sipping margharettas along the way
2. quote for time not used
3. charge more for your services, with explanations to the client that there is a reason why you charge more
